An educator by profession Laurene has worked in the Latin American, British and American School Systems. She currently teaches in middle school and is the assistant principal of private school in Laurelton, New York.
One of the founding members of 4 Real Women International, Inc. Laurene is an experienced family life facilitator, who delights in working with women who are discouraged and feel that their dreams are impossible to achieve. Laurene loves to provide them with a spark of hope, and encourage them to act upon that dreams. Over the years, she has helped and empowered a number of single mothers to pursue their dreams.
As an Empowerment Facilitator. Laurene has facilitated in 4RWI International conferences in Panama and Costa Rica and in the Leadership Academy 4 Women: LEAD! She also writes for the Empowerment 4 Real Women Magazine

Laurene has a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction. Currently residing in Hempstead, New York, she is married to Dr. Anthony L. Usher and together they have three young adult sons.
