Norka Blackman-Richards is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of 4 Real Women International Inc. (4RWI), a New York based non-profit franchise. From this post Norka has created and spearheaded 4RWI’s International Conferences and its signature initiatives such as: , The Leadership Academy 4 Women: L.E.A.D!, The International Power Call (The IPC), Empowewring Possibilities 4 Women (EP4W), Women of Influence (WoI) and Voices of Women (VoW). She is also the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Empowerment 4 Real Women, 4RWI’s signature magazine.
A citizen of the world, Norka started 4RWI,Inc in 2007, out of a deep desire to offer “emotional” humanitarian aid to all women. It was not an easy task, they were many lessons to be learned and many tough decisions to be taken. Today, 4RWI, Inc has become an international grassroots networking franchise which empowers women of all ages through signature workshops, seminars, programs and conferences. Regardless of language, race, religion, political views, and socio-economic status, 4RWI, Inc provides women with real tools to enable them to embrace and develop their highest potentials.
A sought-after empowerment speaker on women, education, diversity and generational issues. A polyglot annually, Norka reaches thousands of men and women in the USA and abroad in both English and Spanish. Her poignant and challenging presentions are specifically tailored for the Twenty-first Century mindset.
The daughter of missionary parents Norka did her elementary and high school education under the Latin American, British, Dutch and Caribbean educational systems. Besides equipping her with being able to communicate in four languages, this unique experience shaped her with a great appreciation and high sensitivity to diversity of cultures, languages, and people.
Today she is a member of several professional organizations, lectures for the City University of New York at Queens College, is a newspaper columnist and her stories and articles have been published both online and in printed magazines. The founder and chief editor of the 4 Real Women and Para Mujeres Reales, two online communities which she started in 2005, Norka lives her life believing that as women of the twenty-first century we have a mandate to empower other women and to live life to the maximum of our God-given potential. Norka currently resides in Queens, New York with her husband Warner Antonio Richards.
